一切的...

小時候學文學，老師時常教「重疊」「排比」的表達方式，剛聽音樂時發時一點：

1973 年，Pink Floyd 的經典《Dark Side of The Moon》最後的一首歌 Eclipse：

All that you touch
And all that you see
All that you taste
All you feel
And all that you love
And all that you hate
All you Distrust
All you save
And all that you give
And all that you deal
And all that you buy, beg, borrow or steal
And all you create
And all you destroy
And all that you do
And all that you say
And all that you eat
And everyone you meet
And all that you slight
And everyone you fight
And all that is now
And all that is gone
And all that's to come
2000 年，U2 的《All That You Can't Leave Behind》當中 Walk On 的最後的一段：

All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
All that you break
All that you measure
All that you steal
All this you can leave behind
All that you reason
All that you sense
All that you speak
All you dress up
All that you scheme…
何其相似，都是以連續的「all that you ....」去述說你所做的，你所有的，甚或乎世上的一切事物。

只是，前者比較灰暗，指世上的事物都將會消逝，被暗月亮所吞滅；後者是問，為了向前行，上路追尋永恆，你可以抛棄掉世上幾多的包伏？

一首歌面向暗沉，另一首就鼓勵你步向光明，但都不期然用了同一個表達手法。藝術角度上兩者皆為上品，只是套在生活態度上，應以積極向上為念。

知性與搖滾音樂

這是我最鐘愛的其中一首 art rock 樂曲："Firth of Fifth" (Genesis) 收錄自他們 “Selling England By The Pound" 一碟 (1973)。鐘愛的情度去到把這首歌最前頭的 piano solo 錄成自己手機上的鈴聲。只是可惜聽過這個鈴聲的人可能不少，但除了自己就沒有人知這段美麗鋼琴的出處。

閉上眼睛聽這首歌的話，我會想到的事物會是：去到河邊同墳場，看著物轉星移，時空變遷而感概。

1970 年代早期（西方）有一段時間是流行一種叫 art rock 的搖滾類型，大致是憑著 artist 的天才同深厚的古典音樂底子，把搖滾音樂推上一個層次，當中有些長篇故事的論述、有複雜的層次結構、有天馬行空的 improvision 使聽者感覺得在享用一份豐富的法國大餐，要好好坐著聽方能真正享受。一首歌因為這樣，給推長到十分鐘以上是家常便飯，甚至有不少是佔了一張黑膠碟的一整邊 (約 23 分鐘)。

只是這個潮流，去到 70 年代中後期就變成有點走火入魔，聽眾也覺得厭倦了。跟住來的 punk 就把流行搖滾樂回復番簡單直接的表達方式。
